1 tbsp fresh lime juice

1 tbsp Olive oil

1 tsp Paprika

1 tsp Chilli

½ tsp salt

1 tsp black pepper

Falafels

These balls are rich, savory and have a crunchy texture.

Recipe:

Easy and great recipe and a perfect vegetarian meal or snack. Even my kids tuck into these due to the flavour.

Preheat the oven to 180’C.

Put all the ingredients for the falafels into a food processor mix to a paste and add more flour if necessary.
Scoop small balls of the mixture onto the baking tray, sprinkle with sesame seeds.

Bake for 20-25 minutes until the outside is crisp.

Serve with lemon wedges and sprinkle with some fresh coriander.

Chefs Tip

I you don't have chickpea flour, use flain white flour. The mixture needss to be thick enough to form balls.

Menu suggestion

Serve with toasted Greek pita bread and Tzatziki alongside with fresh salad greens, tomatoes and onions.

Wine suggestion

Most people would prefer white wine but a medium dry red works very well.

Music suggestion

Greek taverna music.
